Oct-Feb nights on big tides. Small mackerel or worm strips on 2-3 hook flappers. Best on last of the flood to HW and first of the ebb.
Nov-Feb nights. Lug or small mackerel strips on size 2 hooks. Cast to open sand on mid to high water. Clip-down rigs help present baits in strong tide.
Nov–Feb after dark; two/three-hook flappers with mackerel or squid strips at 40–80m. Fish the last of flood to high on springs.
Nov-Feb nights. 2-3 hook flapper with lug-squid cocktails; cast anywhere into open water. Big spring tides fish best.
Autumn–winter, after dark on the flood. Small lug/squid cocktails on 2–3 hook flappers; size 2–1 hooks. Expect fast bites near HW.

Nov–Feb nights. Lug tipped with mackerel or small fish strips on size 1 hooks. Short to medium casts into surf gutters 2 hours around HW.
Oct-Jan; 2-hook flappers with lug or squid slivers; fish into dark on the flood; 60-100 yd onto cleaner patches. Expect rattly bites on neaps.
Winter into dark on the flood/high. Small fish or squid strips on size 2 hooks; clip-down rigs for distance against strong tidal pull.
Winter evenings on lug, mackerel strip or sandeel; cast to cleaner patches on the flood. Keep rigs simple in heavy tide.
Winter nights on flooding tides; small fish or worm baits at medium range over clean sand. Two-hook flappers score.
Nov-Feb after dark. Small mackerel/sandeel strips on 2-hook flappers. Cast into main tide beyond rough ground. Use wired leads on springs.
