How to add it

The steps differ by phone and browser. We've picked the one you seem to be using; switch if that's wrong.

Install Where's The Fish on this computer

Opens in its own window, without the browser around it.

  1. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
  2. Click Install.

Safari and Firefox on desktop do not install web apps; on a phone, the steps are under iPhone and Android.

Signing in inside the app

Use Google, or ask for an email link. The email also carries a six-digit code: type it into the sign-in screen you already have open and the app signs in there and then. On iPhone the link in Mail opens Safari rather than the app, which is exactly what the code is for.

Why isn't it in the App Store?

It doesn't need to be. The site itself is the app: adding it to your home screen gives it an icon, a full screen and its own window, and every update reaches you the moment we publish it. Forecast alerts still arrive by email for now; notifications on the phone are on the roadmap.
