6.3· Beach · Norfolk
Sheringham Beach is a shingle-and-sand shoreline backed by a promenade and timber groynes, with easy access from the town but uneven, loose shingle underfoot. It is a classic North Norfolk open-beach mark, generally best on a flooding tide and around dusk, producing seasonal flatfish, whiting and cod, with bass and mackerel opportunities in warmer conditions.
