Newport Beach is a quiet, open North Norfolk shore mark, generally fished for its mobile sand-and-shingle features rather than for a single permanent hotspot. It can produce enjoyable mixed sea fishing, but it is a weather-dependent venue where recent sea conditions matter greatly.

• Expect a relatively natural, cliff-backed stretch of coast with changing beach levels, gullies and occasional firmer or rougher patches.
• It is best approached as a roving beach mark: walk, observe the water and fish the most pronounced tide run, gully or coloured-water line.
• The mark is usually more attractive to anglers seeking solitude than to those wanting easy access, extensive facilities or guaranteed deep water.

Newport Beach lies on the north-east Norfolk coast in the Newport/Trimingham area, between the better-known resorts of Overstrand and Mundesley. Access is normally on foot from the local road network and public coastal routes, but the exact usable route can change with erosion, closures and seasonal ground conditions.
