Sea fishing in the UK - your map to the coast

The UK coastline stretches over 19,000 miles and offers some of the most diverse sea fishing in Europe. From rugged Welsh rock marks to the sandy surf beaches of the South West, there are thousands of spots where anglers target bass, cod, mackerel, pollack, wrasse, and dozens more species all year round.

Live fish forecast

Every mark on the map is colour-coded with a real-time fish forecast score that combines tide tables, wind speed, swell height, rainfall, and species-specific feeding patterns. Green means conditions are excellent - plan your session around those marks for the best chance of a catch.

Marks explained

A mark is a named fishing spot along the coast - it might be a pier, breakwater, rock ledge, beach, or harbour wall. Each mark on Where's The Fish? includes GPS coordinates, species lists, access notes, and a detailed fishing guide written for that location.

Seasonal tips

Spring and summer bring mackerel shoals, bass runs, and warm-water species like smoothhound. Autumn is prime time for cod as they move inshore, while winter offers whiting, dab, and flounders on many beach marks. The forecast adapts to what is in season.

Use the map above to pan along the coastline and find marks near you. Tap any pin to see the current forecast, then open the full mark page for tide-by-tide breakdowns, species info, and local access advice. You can also search by name or browse marks by region using the links above.

Whether you're a beginner looking for an easy pier session or an experienced angler scouting unfamiliar rock marks, the map is designed to help you make the most of your time on the coast.
