5.9· Beach · Suffolk
Shingle Street is an exposed, steep shingle beach beside the River Ore entrance, reached from limited roadside parking and then a short walk over loose stones. It is a classic Suffolk surf-and-tide venue: fish the beach gutters and deeper water on a flooding or ebbing tide for bass, flatfish, rays and winter species, while allowing for strong winds, moving shingle and a long cast being useful at times.
