4.9· Estuary · Suffolk
Holbrook Bay is a quiet, sheltered River Stour estuary mark with soft mud, shallow flats and deeper tidal runnels rather than open-coast surf. Fishing is generally from informal foreshore or bank positions reached on foot from nearby lanes and paths; plan around the tide, keep clear of soft ground and only fish where access is permitted. It is chiefly a flounder-and-eel venue, with bass, mullet and occasional winter species moving along the channels.
