6.7· Breakwater · North Yorkshire
Staithes North Wall is the exposed north harbour arm, reached on foot from Staithes village and fished from the concrete wall and its seaward end. It gives relatively deep water and mixed rough ground close in, producing classic North Sea harbour-wall fishing: summer mackerel and pollack, with cod, whiting and pouting more prominent in colder or rougher conditions.
