6.5· Rocks · North Yorkshire
Filey Brigg is a long, rugged rocky promontory at the north end of Filey Bay, reached on foot from the country-park/clifftop side and then across uneven rock shelves. It offers deep-water gullies, kelp and rough ground close in, producing classic Yorkshire rock fishing for cod, pollack and smaller species; it fishes best around moving water, but swell, weed and a rising tide can make it demanding.
